Golden Eagles Sit 8th After 36 Holes at Racer Intercollegiate
Tennessee Tech turned in a steady two-round showing on Sunday at the Racer Intercollegiate, finishing the opening 36 holes in eighth place at +8 (584) at the Country Club of Paducah.

PADUCAH, Ky. — Tennessee Tech turned in a steady two-round showing on Sunday at the Racer Intercollegiate, finishing the opening 36 holes in eighth place at +8 (584) at the Country Club of Paducah.
The Golden Eagles posted rounds of 293 (+5) and 291 (+3), positioning themselves in the middle of a tightly packed leaderboard heading into the final round. Chattanooga leads the field at -19, followed by Murray State (-4) and Dayton (-3).
Tennessee Tech was led by Haden Maxwell, who delivered one of the top performances of the day, finishing tied for seventh overall at 141 (-3). Maxwell carded rounds of 71 (-1) and 70 (-2), pacing the Golden Eagles and placing himself firmly in contention entering Monday.
Bryson White added a solid effort for Tech, finishing tied for 35th at 146 (+2), while Nicklaus Etherton surged in round two with a 70 (-2) to move into a tie for 42nd at 147 (+3).
Rounding out the lineup, Drew Bolton (154, +10) and Cooper Gettler (155, +11) completed the Golden Eagle scoring five.
As a team, Tech showed improvement in the second round, shaving two strokes off its opening score and gaining ground heading into the final 18 holes.

In addition to the team lineup, Tennessee Tech individuals are also in action at the TSU Big Blue Invitational, where multiple Golden Eagles are in strong position after two rounds heading into Tuesday's final round.
Spencer Stuke leads Tech individuals, sitting sixth overall at 141 (-1), while Matthew Shull is close behind in seventh at 142 (E).
Alex Broyles is currently tied for 46th at 152 (+10), and Owen Bright sits tied for 54th at 154 (+12) through 36 holes.
