Spring 2024 (Freshman): Broyles competed in four of Tech's six events during the spring, completing nine holes of stroke play and five rounds of match play… made his collegiate debut with a 234 at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate (Mar. 17-19), tying his season-low with a 76 in the second round… matched the 76 in the second round of the NCAA West Lafayette Regional (May 13-15), finishing with a 241 overall… took over in the lineup for an injured Anders Larson in the third round of the OVC Championships (Apr. 21-23), carding a 77… earned a 3&2 victory in the first of two match play rounds at the OVC Championships (Apr. 21-23) to help the Golden Eagles secure its first OVC title since 1990… played in all three match-play rounds of the Carpenter-Chaney Classic (Apr. 1-2), earning a 2&1 win against Eastern Illinois)… took home the team's Most Improved Player Award… concluded his first season with a scoring average of 78.86.
Fall 2023 (Freshman): Broyles did not participate in any of the team's five fall events.
High School: Broyles was a two-sport athlete at Greeneville High School in Greeneville, Tenn., lettering four years in golf for head coach Nathan Hale and one year as a goalkeeper for head soccer coach Jerry Graham… as a junior, became the first GHS boys golfer to reach the TSSAA State Tournament since 2013… made it back-to-back appearances in the TSSAA Class 2A State Championships in 2022, tying for 17th overall with a two-day total of 150… qualified for the State Tournament in 2022 after tying for first place at the District 2-AA Tournament and Region 1-AA Tournament… tied for second place at both events as a junior as well… led Greeneville to four District 2-AA titles, finishing with 16 top-five finishes and seven more top-10 performances… also claimed six first-place showings, including back-to-back championships at the Mike Mills Invitational in 2021 and 2022… ranked 18th overall in the Class of 2022 in the state of Tennessee… named to the 2022 5-Star Preps Watch List and to the 2021 All-5-Star Preps Golf Team.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Tennessee Tech dazzled in its match play semifinal against UT Martin on Wednesday at the Ohio Valley Conference Men’s Golf Championship at Birck Boilermaker Golf Club, but as the day wore on and the winds picked up, the Golden Eagles saw Little Rock take advantage on the back nine to take the tournament championship. The afternoon saw sustained winds at 15 to 20 miles per hour and gusts from 30 to 35 miles per hours, but despite the conditions, the Golden Eagles kept fighting. All of the pairings were within reach, but, at the end, the Trojans prevailed to earn the automatic bid to the NCAA event.
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Tennessee Tech men’s golf team made a big jump up the leaderboard during the second round Monday, and held on Tuesday to finish in third place at the 2026 OVC Men's Golf Championships. With their finish, the Golden Eagles advance into match play Wednesday, where they will square off first against UT Martin beginning at 7:03 a.m. CDT. Tech will join Little Rock, UT Martin and Bryant in the head-to-head challenge on Wednesday on the Ackerman-Allen Course at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex on the campus of Purdue University. Winners of the morning matchups will meet in the afternoon with the winner capturing the league’s automatic invitation into the NCAA Tournament. “I’m so proud of these guys and how they battled back after the first day to make it into match play,” said head coach Polk Brown. “We have been working all year for this opportunity and we’re excited to compete for another championship.”
