Maxwell, Etherton Earn All-OVC Honors for Golden Eagles

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Tennessee Tech men's golf standouts Haden Maxwell and Nick Etherton collected postseason recognition from the Ohio Valley Conference, as announced by the league office this week.
Maxwell was named to the All-OVC First Team, while Etherton earned All-OVC Second Team honors.
Maxwell, a senior from Soddy Daisy, Tenn., secured his second straight All-OVC selection after turning in one of the most impressive seasons in program history. He led the Golden Eagles with a 70.8 scoring average across 30 rounds, the lowest single-season mark on record for Tennessee Tech.
Maxwell posted a pair of tournament rounds of 65, tied for the lowest in the OVC this season, and finished with seven top-five performances and nine top-20 finishes in 10 events. He also played 22 rounds at or below par, highlighting his consistency atop the Tech lineup. He also earned two tournament wins during the 2025-26 season.
Etherton, a senior from Friendsville, Tenn., made an immediate impact in his lone season with the Golden Eagles, earning his first All-OVC honor. He ranked second on the team with a 73.4 scoring average over 30 rounds, recording a low round of 67 and tallying one top-five finish along with four top-20 performances. Etherton turned in 13 rounds at or below par during the campaign, providing stability throughout the lineup.
Both players were key contributors to Tennessee Tech's success throughout the 2025-26 season, helping the Golden Eagles remain competitive in a deep OVC field.
The All-OVC teams, voted on by the league's head coaches, recognize the top performers across the conference, with Maxwell earning First Team distinction and Etherton landing on the Second Team.
