NEW ORLEANS, La. - Tech Men's Golf looks to start the spring Championship season off strong at the Gulf Coast Collegiate, hosted by New Orleans.
NEW ORLEANS, La. - Tech Men's Golf looks to start the spring Championship season off strong at the Gulf Coast Collegiate, hosted by New Orleans.
The Tech Men's Golf team was selected to finish third in the OVC, receiving 81 points in a vote among League head coaches. The Golden Eagles return seniors Haden Maxwell and Nick Etherton, Juniors Alex Broyles, Mathew Skull, and Owen Bright, Sophomores Drew Bolton, Spencer Stuke, and Hil Thompson, and freshmen Bryson White and Cooper Gettler.
"Can't wait to get the spring started in New Orleans," said Head Coach Polk Brown. "It will be a great test to start the semester at a course that formerly hosted a PGA Tour event years ago. The team has been working hard and are ready to get after it."

FALL SCORES
Haden Maxwell was selected as a Player to Watch list by the OVC prior to the spring season. Maxwell led the Golden Eagles with a 69.7 average score and finished in the Top 5 four times with four Top 10 finishes and five Top 20 finishes. Maxwell posted a team-best 65 twice, both in the second rounds at The Grover Page Classic (9/15-9/16) and at The Xavier Invitational (10/20-10/21). He earned two Golfer of the Month and Golfer of the Week four times during the fall season.
PLAYER NOTES
- Gettler averaged 73 shots per round, posted one top 20 finish, shot a low Par of 67, and a To Par of +2.
- Broyles averaged 73.8 shots per round, finished in the top 20 twice, shot a low Par of 71, and a To Par of +3.
- Etherton averaged 72.9 shots per round, placed in the top 20 three times, shot a low Par of 67, and a To Par of +2.
- White averaged 73.3 shots per round, recorded one top 20 finish, shot a low Par of 68, and a To Par of +2.
- Shull averaged 72.8 shots per round, recorded one top‑5, top‑10, and top‑20 finish, and posted a low round of 68 with a total score to par of +2.
