CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech baseball faces Austin Peay for the second straight Tuesday game, this time on the road for a 6 p.m. CT first pitch. The game will be available live on ESPN+.
Tech hopes to make it a sweep over the Governors after defeating Austin Peay 7-5 last Tuesday at Quillen Field at Bush Stadium in Cookeville. TTU is riding momentum after an 18-16 win over UT Martin to salvage the final game of a three-game conference series over the weekend.

LAST GAME
Tennessee Tech erupted for 18 runs on 18 hits and held off a late push from UT Martin to claim an 18-16 victory in Sunday's series finale, salvaging the final game of the three-game set.
In a back-and-forth slugfest at Skyhawk Field, the Golden Eagles delivered timely power and a decisive middle-inning surge to outlast the Skyhawks despite surrendering 16 runs on 19 hits.
Landon Smelser paced the Golden Eagles with a perfect 4-for-5 performance at the plate, scoring four runs and blasting a home run. Jorsixt Jimenez added two home runs and four RBI, providing key swings throughout the contest.
The turning point came in the fourth inning, when Tech plated eight runs in a massive rally. Nash Crowell delivered a bases-clearing double as part of a six-RBI day, while Eddie Garza capped the inning with a three-run homer to give the Golden Eagles a commanding lead.
OVC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jorsixt Jimenez has been named the Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday, following a dominant stretch at the plate for the Golden Eagles.
Jimenez powered Tennessee Tech to a 2-2 record over the past week, highlighted by a midweek victory over Austin Peay and a series-closing win on Sunday against UT Martin. The standout hitter turned in an exceptional performance, batting .500 while compiling one double, one triple, and three home runs.
The slugger drove in eight runs on the week and posted a blistering 1.167 slugging percentage, while reaching base at a .550 clip to pace the Golden Eagles' offense. Jimenez currently leads the OVC in home runs (14) and RBI (48).
This marks Jimenez's first OVC Player of the Week honor this season.
GOLDEN LEADERS
Jorsixt Jimenez leads the conference in slugging percentage (.815), home runs (14), RBI (48), OPS (1.249), and he's second in triples (4). Connor Crowson is fifth in walks (24), and Owen Lee is ninth (23). Lee is tied for fourth in the conference with nine homers.
WATCH LISTS
Manny Garza was named to the Buster Posey Midseason Award Watch List, which honors the nation's top catcher. He is third on the team with a .311 batting average (32x103) and tied for second on the team with six doubles. Owen Lee was added to the Brooks Wallace Player of the Year Award Watch List. Lee joins the Top 100 shortstops on the list. Lee is second on the team in batting average (.315) and home runs (9). He is second on the team in slugging percentage (.598) and walks (23).
