MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Tennessee Tech will look to keep its momentum rolling Tuesday when the Golden Eagles visit Middle Tennessee for a midweek matchup at Reese Smith Jr. Field. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. CT.
Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles enter the contest riding a five-game winning streak after completing a four-game sweep of Ohio at home over the weekend. Tech improved to 5-3 overall with wins of 8-3, 6-4, 6-1 , and 6-3 against the Bobcats, following a 7-5 victory over Lipscomb earlier in the week.

Over the last five games, the Golden Eagles have averaged 6.6 runs per contest, scoring 33 runs on 43 hits while holding opponents to 16 total runs. Tech has hit .269 as a team during the streak and produced 17 extra-base hits, while the pitching staff has limited opponents to a 3.20 ERA across 45 innings.
Jorsixt Jimenez has been a catalyst in the middle of the lineup during the run, driving in runs in four of the five games, while Owen Lee and Landon Smelser have combined for multiple multi-hit performances. The Golden Eagles have also shown balance on the mound, using nine different pitchers during the Ohio series while allowing three runs or fewer in three of the four games.
TTU's pitching staff has anchored the winning streak with consistent starts and effective bullpen work. Over the last five games, Golden Eagle pitchers have combined to strike out 42 batters while limiting opponents to a .227 batting average.
Jaxson Pease earned two wins during the stretch, including a 6 2/3–inning outing in the series finale against Ohio, while Garrett Holpuch delivered a seven-inning scoreless performance with two strikeouts in the series opener.
Cooper Casteel added six strong innings in the sweep opener, and the bullpen has been reliable late, with Eli Huddleston and Reece McDuffie combining to close out multiple victories as Tech allowed three runs or fewer in three of the four games against Ohio.
Tech will be tested Tuesday against Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, which returns home after opening the season with a heavy midweek schedule. The meeting marks the first road game for the Golden Eagles since opening weekend.
Tomorrow's contest is the first of two scheduled meetings between the in-state programs this season.
First pitch between Tennessee Tech and Middle Tennessee is set for 3 p.m. CT in Murfreesboro.
