The Golden Eagles (11-7, 4-0 HL) enter the week on a heater that has featured a four-match winning streak as well as victories in seven of the last eight affairs. In Tech' 4-3 triumph at Tennessee State in the team's last showing on Saturday, the Golden Eagles claimed at least a share of the Horizon League South Division, behind a perfect 4-0 conference mark. Tech can claim the title outright with a Friday win over Southern Indiana.
Alex Alvarez leads the purple and gold with a 10-5 singles record. Murilo Burckhardt and Davids Spaks have each posted nine solo nods as well.
The duo of Alvarez and Spaks also possesses the most doubles victories thanks to a 10-5 tandem record. The nationally-ranked purple and gold team has appeared exclusively in the No. 1 position in the lineup.
A look at Austin Peay
The Govs (4-10) have had their last three matches cancelled. APSU was last spotted on the courts in a 4-0 loss home loss to the University of Kentucky. The club had won its pervious two tilts with a 5-2 nod against Cumberland on Mar. 21 and a 4-3 victory over IU Indy on Mar. 14.
Glen Arnet leads the team with four singles wins this spring. The Meggen, Switzerland native has a victory in No. 4 and three more in No. 6.
Logan Tomovski and Rohan Loubser have set the pace in doubles play behind a 6-2 record. The pair has played exclusively in the top tandem spot.
A look at Southern Indiana
The Screaming Eagles (4-13, 0-4 HL) head to Cookeville having lost nine matches in a row. The club is coming off a 4-2 home loss to Belmont on Saturday to drop to 0-4 in league play. Aaron Dawson and Jy Hibbert each picked up singles victories in the match with the Bruins to account for the club's two points.
The pair leads USI in solo triumphs thanks to eight nods apiece. Mathys Bove and Adam Koon have teamed up to claim five doubles wins for the most on the team.
The Golden Eagles won the first of this season's two meetings with Southern Indiana with a 6-1 triumph on Mar. 24 in Evansville. Tech captured the doubles point before earning singles wins from Oliver Dao, Alex Alvarez, Diego Munoz, Murilo Burckhardt and Ricard Garavi Yepez. USI's lone point in the match came courtesy from a Mathys Bove singles victory.
