COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Due to the inclement weather conditions, the Tennessee Tech tennis team has changed its Sunday schedule.
Originally slated to play a pair of home matches, the Golden Eagles will now just host Cumberland University in a single contest at Tech Tennis Courts. First serve is set for 1:30 p.m. CT. Admission is free of charge.
The Golden Eagles had an originally planned doubleheader with Saint Louis at 11 a.m. and Cumberland at 3 p.m., but the conditions in Cookeville changed the equation to only the single affair with the Phoenix.
Tech enters the tilt with a 4-6 overall record. The Golden Eagles are 4-2 in the last six contests and have split the first two matches of their current homestand. TTU topped Lipscomb with a 4-3 win on Feb. 27 before ETSU collected a 4-0 victory over the Golden Eagles on Tuesday.
Cumberland comes to Cookeville with a 4-4 overall mark. The Phoenix enter Sunday's showdown off a 5-2 loss to Arizona Christian on Thursday.
