Golden Eagles Climb to Second After Round 2 at OVC Championship
Tennessee Tech positioned itself firmly in contention for a conference title Monday, carding a second-round 314 to move into second place at the 2026 Ohio Valley Conference Women’s Golf Championship at Dalton Golf and Country Club.

DALTON, Ga. – Tennessee Tech positioned itself firmly in contention for a conference title Monday, carding a second-round 314 to move into second place at the 2026 Ohio Valley Conference Women's Golf Championship at Dalton Golf and Country Club.
The Golden Eagles improved one spot from their opening-round standing and sit at 637 (+61) through 36 holes, trailing only Little Rock heading into Tuesday's final round.
Tech's balanced lineup again proved key, with four counting scores tightly grouped to keep the purple and gold within striking distance of the lead.
Kaydi Rhodes paced the Golden Eagles for the second straight day, firing a 78 (+6) to remain tied for sixth individually at +14 overall. Lexus Julian matched that round with a 78 (+6), climbing into a tie for ninth at +15 overall.
Kailey Lane delivered one of the biggest improvements of the day for Tech, shaving eight strokes off her opening round with a 77 (+5) to move into a tie for 14th at +18 overall. Chloe Griffith rounded out the scoring four with an 81 (+9), sitting tied for sixth overall at +14.
Summer Pilot contributed an 83 (+11) in the second round, giving Tech additional depth as the Golden Eagles posted one of the top team scores of the day.
As a team, Tennessee Tech trimmed nine strokes off its first-round total (323) and now sits 24 shots behind tournament leader Little Rock (613, +37), with 18 holes remaining.
