Tech Women’s Golf Ready to Compete for OVC Championship
Tennessee Tech’s women’s golf team is set to compete in the 2026 Ohio Valley Conference Women’s Golf Championship, with three rounds of play scheduled for Sunday through Tuesday, April 19-21, at the Dalton Golf and Country Club in Dalton, Georgia.

DALTON, Ga. – Tennessee Tech's women's golf team is set to compete in the 2026 Ohio Valley Conference Women's Golf Championship, with three rounds of play scheduled for Sunday through Tuesday, April 19-21, at the Dalton Golf and Country Club in Dalton, Georgia.
The Golden Eagles enter the OVC Championship with the third-lowest average (304.3) in the conference, looking to surpass back-to-back Top 5 finishes to end the regular season. Kaydi Rhodes has the fifth-lowest average score (75.6) in the conference through 27 rounds. Tech has three golfers in the Top 10 with Chloe Griffith (76.6) and Kailey Lane (76.6) tied for 8th.

The 2026 championship marks the first time the event will be held at Dalton Golf and Country Club, a historic venue that dates back to 1912. Known for its tree-lined fairways and classic design, the course underwent a redesign in 2020 by architect Bill Bergin, offering a modern challenge while preserving its traditional character.

Tech season stats
This year's tournament represents the 32nd edition of the OVC Women's Golf Championship, with the inaugural event held in 1994. The three-day competition will feature 54 holes of stroke play to determine the conference champion.
Tennessee Tech enters the championship looking to make a strong push against a competitive field that includes defending champion Morehead State.

Dalton Golf and Country Club has proven itself as a championship-caliber venue, having hosted multiple conference events in the past. The course is also slated to host the NAIA Women's Golf National Championship in both 2027 and 2028, further solidifying its reputation as a premier destination for collegiate golf.
With three rounds set to unfold over three days, the Golden Eagles will aim to navigate the challenging layout and contend for the conference crown in one of the OVC's most anticipated events of the season.
