Golden Eagles are tied for 13th After Round 1 of Diamante Intercollegiate
Tennessee Tech women’s golf is tied for 13th after Round 1 of the Diamante Intercollegiate hosted by Little Rock in Hot Springs Village, Ark.

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE, Ark. – Tennessee Tech women's golf is tied for 13th after Round 1 of the Diamante Intercollegiate hosted by Little Rock in Hot Springs Village, Ark.
The Golden Eagles posted a nine-over round one to tie for 13th with UT Arlington (+9), following the first day of action. Boston College (1st,-10) leads the field, followed by Memphis (2nd, -7), Lipscomb (t-3, -6), Ball State (t-3, -6), and Central Arkansas (5th, -2), rounding out the Top 5.
Chloe Griffith shot an even-par (72) to sit in 24th, posting the lowest score for the Golden Eagles during the first 18 holes of play. Sydney Branson shot a two-over 74 to enter the clubhouse 51st after round one.
Kailey Lane shot 75 (+3) on the first day of action, landing in 58th, Lexus Julian shot 76 to enter the clubhouse four over (t-65), Kaydi Rhodes shot 77 (+5, 77th), and Summer Pilot, competing as an individual shot 76 (+4, t-65) through the first 18 holes of play at the Diamante Intercollegiate today.
Tech tied for the fifth-best score on Par 5s (4.80), sank 54 pars, and averaged 3.05 on Par 3s.

Griffith sank two birdies, Branson made four birdies, Lane carded four birdies, Julian drilled two birdies, Rhodes made one birdie, and Pilot sank one birdie as well. Tech rolled in 13 birdies as a team in the first round.
Julian's average of 4.50 on Par 5s was tied for the 5th-best mark on those holes in the event. Griffith's 3.90 average on Par 4s tied for ninth among the field.
