Maxwell, Rhodes Sweep OVC Golfer of the Month Honors
Tennessee Tech golfers Haden Maxwell and Kaydi Rhodes have swept the Golfer of the Month Honors, as announced today by the conference.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech golfers Haden Maxwell and Kaydi Rhodes have swept the Golfer of the Month Honors, as announced today by the conference.
Maxwell and Rhodes take home the OVC's first Golfer of the Month Awards announced this season. Maxwell has won consecutive tournaments and was named OVC Male Golfer of the Week after both performances. Rhodes earned her first-career Golfer of the Week honor after finishing 12th at The Velvet on Sept. 18.
It marked Rhodes second top 12 finish of the season after closing in sixth at the Total Athlete Collegiate over a week ago. She recorded rounds of 76 (1), 75 (2), and 75 (3) to pace the squad. Her stellar effort at The Total Athlete Collegiate to open the season helped the Golden Eagles finish second among nine teams. Rhodes shot rounds of 76 (1st), 74 (2nd), and 72 (3rd) to tie for sixth.
Maxwell has averaged 69.4 shots over his nine rounds played this season, which is second in the conference. His 65 during the second round at The Grover Page Classic (9/15-9/16) was the second-lowest round during the season so far. It also marked the lowest single round of his career.
Rhodes lowest round of the season was a 72 in the Total Athlete Collegiate on Sept. 8-9 (3rd round), which is the third-lowest round posted by a Golden Eagle this season. She has averaged 74.7 strokes per round, marking the second lowest in the conference over six rounds played.
The Tech women's golf team has averaged 304.3 shots per event, which is the second lowest in the OVC.

The Golden Eagles will be back in action with the women's team at The Rocket Classic and the men's team at the Pinetree Intercollegiate on Oct. 13.
