Led by Chloe Griffith’s Top 10, Tech finishes 5th at The Robbie
Tennessee Tech women’s golf, led by Chloe Griffith’s Top 10, finishes fifth in The Robbie hosted by Lipscomb at RTJ Golf Trail at Hampton Cove in Owens Cross Roads, Ala.

OWENS CROSS ROADS, Ala. – Tennessee Tech women's golf, led by Chloe Griffith's Top 10, finishes fifth in The Robbie hosted by Lipscomb at RTJ Golf Trail at Hampton Cove in Owens Cross Roads, Ala.
Chloe Griffith shot three-over par to finish in the Top 10 (8th) following rounds of 70 (1st), 77 (2nd), and 72 (3rd) over the last three days. The 5th-place finish marks the third Top 5 finish for the team this fall, with a high-water mark of 2nd at The Total Athlete Collegiate to open the fall season.
Griffith sank an eagle (3 on a Par 5) on 17 and made two birdies, carding a final-round even par to finish three-over (8th) during the final 18 holes of play today.
Kailey Lane made eagle on nine during the final 18 holes of play, one of three Golden Eagles to make eagle during the event; two of the three happened during the final round today. Lane sank six birdies in the 54-hole competition. Lane, Griffith, and Summer Pilot were three of the five golfers to make an eagle during The Robbie.
Kaydi Rhodes made six birdies over three days and finished 11 over to land in 24th. Sydney Branson drilled six birdies as well, finished 13 over and 29th.
Lexus Julian dropped four birdies over 54 holes to card a 17 over and finish 38th. Pilot, competing as an individual, made one birdie during the closing 18 today to finish 28 over and 50th.

Georgia won the event (-3), hosts Lipscomb finished second (+6), Murray State finished third (+22), Morehead State finished fourth (+27), Tech finished fifth (+33), Belmont finished sixth (+38), Evansville landed in seventh (+53), UAB parked in eighth (+77), Bellarmine settled in ninth (+96), and Tennessee State finalized 10th (+142).
The Golden Eagles' five-player team carded two eagles, which were more than any other team in the field. Tech finished with the fifth-most birdies (32) and the fifth-most pars among the field of 10 teams.

The Golden Eagles close the fall schedule and will be back in action on Tuesday, Feb. 10, with the BGSU Invitational hosted by Bowling Green at WigWam South in Glendale, Ariz.
