Tech Women’s Golf is 2nd Following Round 1 of The Robbie
Tennessee Tech women’s golf is second at five over following 18 holes at The Robbie.

OWENS CROSS ROADS, Ala. – Tennessee Tech women's golf is second at five over following 18 holes at The Robbie.
The Golden Eagles came out on fire, making 10 birdies through the front nine, and finished with five birdies on the final nine holes to enter the clubhouse after Day 1 at five over and in second place. Tech trails only Georgia (-5), which sits in first place.
Chloe Griffith leads the team after shooting two-under (70) and sitting in third. Griffith tied for the most birdies made (5) and posted the best score on Par 4s (-1) among the field.
Sydney Branson made two birdies and shot 74 to land two over and tied for 11th along with teammate Kailey Lane (+2, 75). Kaydi Rhodes is 18th (+3, 75) after making two birdies during 18 holes.
Lexus Julian sank three birdies and shot five over (77) and is 31st, and Summer Pilot (Individual) is 49th (+11), shot 83 to land in 49th. Pilot's highlight was an eagle on Hole 1.

Tech tied for the second-best scores on Par 3s (+1) with Murray State, tied for the third-best score on Par 4s (+10) with Morehead State, and held the second-best score on Par 5s (-1) behind only Georgia (-5).
The Golden Eagles made the second-most birdies (15) among the field, trailing Georgia (16) by one, and tied for the third-most pars (54) with Murray State.
