Tech Softball signs five on Signing Day
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – With the 2026 Tennessee Tech Softball season on the horizon, the Golden Eagles are already getting set for 2027 as they signed four new players to join the squad. The new Golden Eagles include Addi Bracco (Jefferson Hills, Pa.), Erin Hayes (Lake Worth, Fla.), Leah Jones (Xenia, Ill.) and Izzy Tart (Clayton, N.C.)

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – With the 2026 Tennessee Tech Softball season on the horizon, the Golden Eagles are already getting set for 2027 as they signed four new players to join the squad.
The new Golden Eagles include Addi Bracco (Jefferson Hills, Pa.), Erin Hayes (Lake Worth, Fla.), Leah Jones (Xenia, Ill.), Izzy Tart (Clayton, N.C.) and Lola Wells (McMinnville, Tenn.).
Addi Bracco | IF | Jefferson Hills, Pa. | Thomas Jefferson HS
Bracco had a strong season as a junior, hitting .535 with a .618 on-base percentage and a 1.455 OPS. She was also a solid fielder with a .940 percentage, throwing out 70. Bracco was a member of the Pennsylvania Class 5A state champions in 2024 and won the sectional championship in 2025.
She was named a three-time All-Section selection and was picked as a Top 2025 Prospect in Pennsylvania.
A two-sport athlete, Bracco also played volleyball, winning four 3A sectional titles.
Erin Hayes | C/3B | Lake Worth, Fla. | Park Vista Community HS
Hayes enters her final prep campaign hitting .379 and posting a .431 on-base percentage. She has 92 RBI on 103 hits, while also compiling a .992 fielding percentage.
She was the team's Defensive Player of the Year the past two seasons as she ranked first in her district in fielding percentage, while eighth in the state. The team won the district title in 2023 and 2024.
Hayes also played soccer as a goalkeeper, helping lead Park Vista to district titles in 2022-23 and 2023-24.
Leah Jones | OF | Xenia, Ill. | Flora HS
This past season, Jones batted .438 with 32 hits and seven home runs, stealing eight bases and posting a 1.014 slugging percentage and a .512 on-base percentage. As a junior, she broke the school's career home run record – with another season to go. She was first in the Black Diamond East for batting average and stolen bases in 2024.
Jones helped lead her squad to regional and conference championships in 2023, while being named Black Diamond All-Conference in 2024 and 2025, All-State second-team and All-South in 2024, and All-State third-team in 2025.
A three-sport athlete, Jones also competes in tennis and basketball. She's ranked among the Top 24 in tennis in Illinois, making the IHSA Class A third-team in All-State singles the past two seasons. She finished first in singles at the 2025 sectional tournament.
Izzy Tart | P/IF | Clayton, N.C. | Clayton HS
As she enters her senior season, Tart has a 2.52 earned run average across 233 2/3 innings, striking out 376. She also has a .433 career batting average with 10 home runs and 84 RBI.
She was named the 2023 Greater Neuse River 4-A Conference Player of the Year and 2025 Pitcher of the Year. Tart was also a three-time All-District and three-time All-State selections.
Also playing volleyball as a libero and flag football as a quarterback, Tart was a two-time Defensive MVP.
Lola Wells | UTIL | McMinnville, Tenn. | Warren Co. HS
A .400 career hitter with 72 RBI to her credit, Wells has been a force for her Warren County High team. This past season, she batted .500 with a .941 slugging percentage, driving in 34 runs and scoring 20 times. She also slugged six home runs.
Wells has been a three-time all-district selection in softball as well as a two-time all-district pick in volleyball.
This power-hitting lefty's effort has helped lead Warren County to a region runner-up finish as well as a TSSAA sectional appearance.
