ST. CHARLES, Mo. – Tennessee Tech men's basketball hits the road for three straight games, starting with Lindenwood on Thursday, Jan. 22, at 7:30 p.m. Watch the game live on ESPN+ and listen on 106.1 The Eagles.
The Golden Eagles aim to snap a dry spell, having dropped six of their last seven games, most recently a six-point loss to Morehead State at home on Saturday, Jan. 17. Lindenwood has lost three of its last four games and is coming off a 69-55 loss to UT Martin.
Newcomer of the Week Dontrez Williams led the Lions with 20 points, while Anias Futrell added 10 points in the loss.
Dani Pounds led the team with 15 points on 4-of-6 from the field, all off the bench, converting on 7-of-8 free throws while grabbing four rebounds. Pounds has scored in double figures in two of the last three games.
Tech struggled from the field in the first half against Morehead State, shooting 10-of-28 (35.7 percent), but a second-half surge led by nine points by Mekhi Cameron and eight points by Malik Ferguson brought the Golden Eagles as close as three points.

TECH NOTES
The Golden Eagles dropped to 7-12 overall and 2-6 in OVC play with a pair of losses over the weekend - 71-54 to Southern Indiana and 76-70 to Morehead State. Tech has lost six of its last seven games and looks to bounce back at Lindenwood (1/22) and at SIUE (1/24) before taking on Tennessee State on the road Tuesday, Jan. 27.

Most recently, the Golden Eagles slipped to 7-12 overall and 2-6 in OVC play with the six-point loss, and MSU improved to 9-10 overall and 5-3 in conference action with the win. Dani Pounds led the team with 15 points on 4-of-6 from the field, all off the bench, converting on 7-of-8 free throws while grabbing four rebounds. Most recently, LWU fell to UT Martin 69-55 on the road, despite the loss, sophomore guard Dontrez Williams won Newcomer of the Week in the OVC. Williams averaged 21 points, five rebounds, and six steals per game in two games last week. The Lions took down SEMO 88-76 on the road Jan. 15.
