Tennessee Tech Men’s Basketball Takes on Georgia to cap SEC Road Trip
Tennessee Tech (3-4, 0-0 OVC) men’s basketball travels to Athens to face the Georgia Bulldogs (6-1, 0-0 SEC) in the second of two straight against Southeastern Conference foes on the road.

ATHENS, Ga. – Tennessee Tech (3-4, 0-0 OVC) men's basketball travels to Athens to face the Georgia Bulldogs (6-1, 0-0 SEC) in the second of two straight against Southeastern Conference foes on the road.
The Tennessee Tech men's basketball team continues with its November-ending Road swing through SEC country with a matchup against the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday. Watch the matchup live on SEC Network Plus ($). There will be no radio broadcast available in Cookeville for this game. The Golden Eagles are 0-3 all-time against the Bulldogs, with the last matchup tipping off a season ago (L, 78-83) on the road.

Tech is looking to bounce back from a 104-54 defeat at No. 19 Kentucky this past Wednesday. Before the loss, TTU earned its first victory on the road this season, 88-84 at USC Upstate. Mekhi Cameron led the Golden Eagles with 20 points. Dani Pounds was second in scoring with 16 points and tied for the team lead in rebounds with six. Ja'Quavian Florence poured in 13 points (4-9 FG), and JaJuan Nicholls was the fourth Golden Eagle in double-digits with 11 (5-8 FG).
Cameron scored a career-high 21 points against the Bulldogs in the last matchup a season ago. Cameron leads the team with 12.6 points per game. He is one of three players averaging in double figures this season, including Dani Pounds (11 ppg) and JaJuan Nicholls (10.7 ppg).
