Golden Eagles fall to Colorado Mesa
LOUISVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech ran into some tough competition on Tuesday as the Golden Eagles made progress against a strong Colorado Mesa team. The Mavericks took both matches by 5-0 scores as the Golden Eagles (2-11) get set to open Ohio Valley Conference play on Thursday at K2 Volleyball.

LOUISVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech ran into some tough competition on Tuesday as the Golden Eagles made progress against a strong Colorado Mesa team.
The Mavericks took both matches by 5-0 scores as the Golden Eagles (2-11) get set to open Ohio Valley Conference play on Thursday at K2 Volleyball.
At the No. 1 pairing, Gracyn Spresser and Ellie Ask topped MK Roberts and Audrey Kilgore 21-18 and 21-8, then Ania Swartzendruber and Eweline Gacek defeated Kyana Gabriel and Savannah Knepp at No. 2 21-5 and 21-10.
Addie Ritterbush and Mikala Henderson beat Kaesha Walter and Jordyn Hamlin 21-15 and 21-7 at the No. 3-spot, while Bailey Poppe and Piper Jones fell 21-7 and 21-18 at No.4.
Stormi Tadlock and Ava Blanco won over Zoe Mish and Alanah Craig at No. 5 24-22 and 21-7.
Jolee McLain teamed with Colorado Mesa's Phoenix Slager in exhibition play against the Mavericks' Avery Malek and Jada Whitall, falling 21-19 and 21-15 in the first match and 21-6 and 21-13 in the second.
In the second match, Spresser and Ask topped Roberts and Kilgore 21-14 and 21-12, while Swartzendruber and Gacek beat Gabriel and Knepp 21-15 and 21-13. Walter and Hamlin fell to Ritterbush and Henderson 21-10 and 21-11, while Rothley and Rohlwing beat Poppe and Jones 21-12 and 21-19. Mish and Craig dropped a 21-9 and 21-13 decision to Tadlock and Blanco.
