Little leads Tech, moves to No. 1 in OVC 400m
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Tennessee Tech Track & Field delivered a strong two-day showing at the Music City Challenge, highlighted by a school-record performance and multiple personal bests. “It was an excellent two days in Music City for the Golden Eagles," said Tech head coach Peter Dalton. "There was a lot of energy in the group, and we saw a lot of really exceptional performances. We’re excited about the OVC Championships, and I know we can finish this season off in style.”

Leading the charge, Kennedi Winbush tied the program record in the 100m with a blazing 11.60, matching the mark previously set by Tech's current assistant coach, Lisa Wickham. She won her invite heat to advance to the final, where she placed fourth with an 11.87, and later added a third-place finish in the 200m with a time of 24.03.
Continuing the momentum, the distance group impressed across the board. In the 1500m, Joy Jepleting (4:44.28), Hayley Stegall (4:44.53), and Hannah Faudi (4:45.38) each recorded personal bests.
In the 5000m, Makaleigh Jessee paced the group with a 17:04.81 PR, followed by Rylee Wells (17:14.42), Jane Lokiles (17:38.40), and Zaely Tilt (17:38.78), all turning in personal-record performances.
In the field events, Ally Beneke secured first place in the high jump with a 1.68m (5-6) clearance, while Madison Johnson matched that mark for a personal best jump of 1.68m (5-6) to take second.
On the oval, the 400m group produced a strong showing, as Hannah Little (55.15), Kyla Joy (56.87), and Annalee Seratt (58.92) each notched personal bests.
Meanwhile, in the hurdles, Carrie Flowers (14.90) and Chase Wolfenbarger (14.99) both posted personal bests in the 100m hurdles, while Rachael Brewer added a personal-best 1:02.51 in the 400m hurdles.
Rounding out the meet, the men's squad saw Carter Bradford continue his dominant season with a breakthrough 3:47 personal best in the 1500m, while Cruz Hesling recorded a 9:28.46 PR in the 3000m steeplechase.
