COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- The entire Tennessee Tech football team
will fan out across campus Tuesday afternoon to fulfill a community
service project of helping to keep the campus clean. The nearly 100
members of the squad will be picking up litter on campus and
throughout campus buildings, beginning around 3 p.m.
"The grounds crew at Tennessee Tech does a remarkable job at
keeping our campus clean and looking good," said Watson Brown,
Golden Eagle head coach. "We're proud to bring recruits, fans,
alumni and other visitors on campus, because we know it will always
look great.
"Our guys just thought this project would be a good way to give
something back to the University, and show their support of the
efforts of the entire campus community at making everything look so
good."
The Golden Eagles wrapped up spring drills on Saturday. The 2010
season will get underway on Saturay, Sept. 3, with a game at
Arkansas.
