Golden Eagles fall to Southern Indiana
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – It was a tough night for the Tennessee Tech volleyball team on Tuesday as the Golden Eagles fell in three sets to Southern Indiana. Tech (9-14, 6-5 Ohio Valley Conference) battled with the Screaming Eagles, keeping pace in each set until late with USI pulling away to win the sets 25-18, 25-19 and 25-17. There were 20 ties across the three sets with nine lead changes.

Ashby Willis led the Screaming Eagles (12-11, 8-3 OVC) with 13 kills, while Aysa Thomas had 28 assists. Audrey Small collected 20 kills, while Thomas had 10 to complete her double-double.
For the Golden Eagles, Alayna Pierce had 12 kills to lead the way, while Jordan Karlen had 25 assists and 18 digs to complete her double-double.
Tech returns to action Friday and Saturday for the first of five straight road matches with a pair at SIUE. The Golden Eagles are back home for the final series of the season on Nov. 18 and 19 against Eastern Illinois.
