BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech volleyball senior Madolyn Isringhausen wrapped up the 2024 regular season in style, setting some Ohio Valley Conference history as the league released its final weekly honors of the year Friday afternoon.
The outside hitter set a new conference record by taking home her eighth Offensive Player of the Week honor, putting a cap on a truly dominant campaign in the purple and gold. Securing her third consecutive weekly accolade, Isringhausen went about it a little differently, backing up another strong attack with a devastating serve.
The Edwardsville, Ill. native piled up a whopping 13 service aces in Tech's pair of 3-0 sweeps at UT Martin, helping the Golden Eagles extend their winning streak to seven straight matches by averaging 5.17 kills, 1.00 blocks, an absurd 2.17 service aces, and 7.92 points per set while hitting .403 from the outside.
The senior opened the week with 13 kills on a .367 attack, four blocks, and 13 digs for her ninth double-double of the year. The highlight came from the service line, as the Edwardsville native set a new rally-scoring era program record with 8 aces, including six alone in the first set. She followed it up with a whopping 18 kills and a .432 hitting percentage on Wednesday, adding five more aces, two blocks, and 15 digs for her 10th double-double of the year.
Tech will now set its sights on the OVC Tournament, hosted by No. 1 seed Southeast Missouri in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Sunday, Nov. 24 through Tuesday, Nov. 26. The No. 3 Golden Eagles will focus their attention on Sunday's quarterfinal match-up with Little Rock, featuring a 1:00 p.m. CT start in Houck Field House.
