Tech soccer to face Bowling Green, Toledo
The Tennessee Tech soccer team travels to Ohio this weekend to
take on Bowling Green and Toledo, two teams Tech has never played
before.
On Sept. 12 the Golden Eagles (1-4-0) will face the Bowling Green
Falcons (1-2-2) from the Mid-American Conference before heading to
Toledo to take on the Rockets (2-1-0), also from the MAC.
Tech is coming off a 1-1 home-stand, beating Appalachian State 1-0
on senior Katie Hoover's last minute goal, and falling to
undefeated Vanderbilt 4-1 after taking a 1-0 lead into the second
half.
"They had a good weekend," assistant coach Chris Walker said.
"They're taking the positives from the Vanderbilt game and building
on that."
Bowling Green is coming off a 4-0 win against IPFW and 1-1 tie
against Ohio State in double over-time. Toledo lost to No. 13
Boston College last week.
