OVC Indoor Championships get underway Friday

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Tech will cap off its indoor track and field season at the OVC Indoor Championships this weekend at the Gentry Center in Nashville, Tenn.
Tennessee State is hosting the event, which will begin at 1 p.m. Friday and conclude Saturday afternoon.
Friday's slate includes long jump, high jump and shot put and a number of running trials. The finals for the distance medley and 5,000 meter will be the final events on Friday, running at 5:30 and 6 p.m. respectively.
The action resumes at 9 a.m. Saturday with the weight throw, triple jump and pole vault as well as running event finals.
Senior Leah Bradley will compete in the 800 and offers one of Tech's best chances at scoring points at the championships, according to head coach Tony Cox. Finals for the 800 are set for 1:15 p.m. on Saturday.
The Golden Eagles competed in two indoor meets this season and will immediately transition into their outdoor season at the conclusion of this weekend's meet.
Results from the championships will be posted on TTUSports.com at the conclusion of each day's events.
