Tech Cross Country Finishes Top 12 at Snaps Louisville Cross Country Classic
Tennessee Tech cross country had its best performance of the fall with the women’s team finishing 8th and the men’s team finishing 11th at the Snaps Louisville Cross Country Classic.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Tennessee Tech cross country had its best performance of the Fall with the women's team finishing 8th and the men's team finishing 11th at the Snaps Louisville Cross Country Classic.
The men's and women's cross country teams had their best all-around performance considering the depth of the competition at the Swags Louisville Cross Country Classic. It's the second time the women's team has finished in the top 10 and the second time the men's team has clocked a top 12 finish this season.
"That's a good step in the right direction for both our teams. It was a phenomenal effort for each team. Good pack running and there's real belief in our groups as we approach the OVC Championships next month." – Head Coach Peter Dalton.
Career best for Carter Bradford (24:33.3) and career best for Naomy Lokiles (17:29.5) to lead the men's and women's teams. Both Bradford and Lokiles finished first among OVC competitors, with Eastern Illinois the only other member of the conference competing in the race today.
The Golden Eagles finished in front of Eastern Illinois in both men's and women's cross country. EIU finished in the top two in the OVC Championships in 2024.
Women's cross country finished 8th among 34 teams led by Naomy Lokiles (PR, 17:29.5), Makaleigh Jessee (18:06.9), Rylee Wells (18:07.6), Joy Jepleting (PR, 18:08.9), Jane Lokiles (PR, 18:09.1), and Megan Forstner (PR, 18:35.7).
Men's cross country finished 11th among 35 teams, led by Carter Bradford (PR, 24:33.3), Nic Chambers (25:02.7), Cruz Hesling (25:03.3), Zak Myles-Hawkins (25:08.3), and Luca Gambling (25.23.2).
