Another cancellation wraps up softball's fall season

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee Tech softball doubleheader originally scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 13 against Volunteer State has been canceled. The games will not be made up.
The Golden Eagle fall season has officially concluded after Tuesday's rainout. Tech had eight fall games scheduled originally; however, rain forced more cancellations than games played.
For the fall, Tech was unbeaten at 4-0 and did not allow a run by an opposing team. The Golden Eagles last took the field on Sunday, September 27 when they defeated Chattanooga State, a top junior college program, 2-0.
Tech now looks forward to the spring when the Golden Eagles will open their 2010 season on February 12 at the Middle Tennessee State Tournament.
