MARYVILLE, Tenn. -- Senior Stephanie Place finished 19th overall
to lead the women's team as the Tennessee Tech cross country squads
competed Saturday in the NCAA South Regional in Maryville. Running
on a rain-soaked, hilly course in could and wet conditions, Place
covered the 6K route in 21:35 for her Top 20 showing. The Tech
women finished 19th among the 23 teams in the field, while the Tech
men were 20th out of 21 teams in the 10K event.
While Place led the Tech women, Sam Taylor was in his familiar role of pacing the Golden Eagle men.
