Spring 2019 (Sophomore): Mashburn participated in all five of Tech’s tournaments in the spring, totaling 15 rounds of action… turned in a career-best 230 at the Edwin Watts – Kiawah Island Classic (Feb. 24-26), behind rounds of 83, 73 and 74… at the Jan Weaver Invitational (Apr. 5-6), posted three sub-80 rounds for a 233… named the team’s Most Improved Player for the year… wrapped up the year with a scoring average of 78.26.

Fall 2018 (Sophomore): Mashburn took part in two of the team’s five events in the fall, finishing four rounds of play… tied for fourth to earn her first career All-Tournament honor at the Town and Country Invitational (Oct. 29-30)… also posted a career-low 70 in the second round on her way to a 144… earned a top-10 finish with a 149 at the Fred Marx Invitational (Oct. 15), tying for eighth overall… finished the fall with a 73.25 scoring average.

Spring 2018 (Freshman): Mashburn played in four the team’s five spring tournaments, completing 10 rounds of action… captured a season-low 238 at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate (Mar. 18-20), posting her third of four top-25 finishes on the year… fired a season-best 74 in the first round of the OVC Championships (Apr. 16-18), earning a top-25 finish… named the team’s Impact Award winner… concluded her first season with a scoring average of 80.33.

Fall 2017 (Freshman): Mashburn competed in three of Tech’s five fall events, totaling eight rounds of play… carded an 81-81-77=239 at her first collegiate event, the Chris Banister Golf Classic (Sept. 24-26), earning a top-25 finish… also finished in the top-25 at the Terrier Intercollegiate (Oct. 23-24)… wrapped up the fall season with an 80.50 scoring average.

High School: Mashburn was a two-sport athlete at Calhoun High School, lettering four times in golf for head coach Clay Stephenson and two times in volleyball for head coach Randy Rice… led CHS to region titles as a freshman, sophomore and junior… also led her team to state titles as a sophomore, junior and senior and an area title as a senior… named team captain in 2016 and 2017… finished as the individual state runner-up as a senior… named to the AAA All-State Team in 2016 and 2017.

Personal: Daughter of Craig and Shawn Mashburn… born July 21, 1999… full name is Kate Mashburn.

Academic: Majoring in chemistry with a concentration in biochemistry… named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll once.
