The Golden Eagles are fresh off a home-opener 6-1 win over South Dakota State on Saturday afternoon.
Freshman Eduardo Mena is leading the Golden Eagles so far this season from the no. 3 spot. He has a 6-4 record in dual matches. Sophomore Alberto Esteban has a 4-5 record in the no. 2 spot.
Tech is currently 2-8 in dual matches, having topped Chattanooga along with SDSU.
Winthrop is currently 6-4 heading into Monday's match. The Eagles hold a 4-0 advantage over TTU since 2002.
On Tuesday, Tech will play in Atlanta for the second-straight day taking on the 5-9 Georgia State Panthers.
This match will be Tech's second to last non-conference showdown, but the last before Ohio Valley Conference play begins as Tech has a midweek match with Louisville later in the season.
