Bio
2014-15 (Junior): Martin sat out the 2014-15 season after being granted one year of eligibility by the NCAA following his transfer from South Plains College.
2013-14 (Sophomore – South Plains College): Martin started 32 of 33 games, averaging 25.1 minutes per game… led South Plains to a 29-6 overall record, including a 13-3 mark in conference play on its way to a league title, as well as the quarterfinals of the NJCAA Men’s National Basketball Championship… averaged 12.3 points per game on 52.1 percent shooting… also averaged 7.2 rebounds per game and knocked down an impressive 77.4 percent of his free-throw attempts… tallied nine double-doubles on the year, including in each of his first two games, vs. Carl Albert State College (Nov. 3) and at Western Nebraska C.C. (Nov. 8)… scored in double digits 22 times with a career-high 25 points coming at Frank Phillips College (Jan. 20)… pulled down a season-high 13 rebounds against Collin County C.C. (Nov. 23) and again at Midland College (Feb. 24)… rejected 27 shots on the year and recorded 29 steals… blocked a season-best three shots in each of the first two games of the year… went a perfect 8-for-8 from the field against Central Arizona College (Dec. 27) to record one of three performances with 20 or more points.
2012-13 (Freshman – South Plains College): Martin started 22 of the 25 games he appeared in as a freshman for the reigning national champions… averaged 9.8 points and 8.6 rebounds while recording nearly a block per game… ranked 21st in the nation shooting an impressive 61.7 percent from the field… tallied seven double-doubles on the year, including an 18-point, 12-board performance in his first career game… scored in double figures 12 times, including a season-high 19 points at Frank Phillips College (Feb. 28)… totaled nine games with double-digit rebounding efforts, including 21 at Clarendon College (Jan. 31), 20 at Chandler-Gilbert C.C. (Jan. 3) and 15 vs. Ranger College (Mar. 7)… blocked a season-high five shots against Chandler-Gilbert C.C. as well… averaged 22 minutes per game while leading his team to a 22-8 record.
