Golden Ealges look to make it four wins in a row with visit to Southeast Missouri
The Tennessee Tech mens basketball team is heating up at the right time. The Golden Eagles are riding a three-game winning streak into a stretch of four Ohio Valley Conference games in seven days beginning with a contest at Southeast Missouri on Jan. 2.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - The Tennessee Tech men's basketball team is
heating up at the right time. The Golden Eagles are riding a
three-game winning streak into a stretch of four Ohio Valley
Conference games in seven days. All four of Tech's games are
against teams who are currently 1-1 in league play. The Golden
Eagles kick off the week with a contest at Southeast Missouri on
Jan. 2. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., and the game will be
broadcast live in WHUB-AM 1400, teamline.cc (1-800-846-4700, team
code 0654) and OVCsports.tv.
Tech (6-6, 0-1 OVC) is coming off wins against Ball State, Bryan
College and Union College entering January, and except for a
BracketBuster contest in late February against a team still to be
determined, will be in OVC play the rest of the season. The Golden
Eagles are led by Kevin Murphy who is averaging 14.3 points per
game. Senior Frank Davis has scored in double-figures in seven
consecutive games, and is averaging 17.7 points per game in that
span, and 13.9 for the season. Alfred Jones has chipped in with 8.1
points and 5.5 rebounds for the Golden Eagles this season.
Southeast Missouri (4-8, 1-1 OVC) is led by Anthony Allison who is
scoring 10.0 points per game, while Cameron Butler is averaging 7.9
points and 5.6 rebounds per game. The Redhawks are 1-3 at home this
season, while Tech is 3-4 on the road.
The Golden Eagles hold a 26-12 all-time advantage in the series
against Southeast Missouri, and have won the last three
meetings.
Tech will visit Eastern Illinois on Jan. 4 before returning to the
Eblen Center to host Morehead State on Jan. 7 and Eastern Kentucky
