Reminder: Free admission to families of 278th and area youth teams
Families of Soldiers deployed with the 278th as well as area youth participating in the Upward and Vision Basketball programs, are reminded that Tennessee Tech is offering free admission to all regular season home basketball games in 2009-2010.
Youth teams can also get $1 tickets for families

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Families with Soldiers deployed with
278th as well as area youth participating in the Upward and Vision
Basketball programs, are reminded that Tennessee Tech is offering
free admission to all regular season home basketball games in
2009-2010.
In addition to the standing offer for free admission, youth players
are also invited to bring family members to the games this coming
Thursday night (Jan. 21) against Austin Peay for just one dollar
per person.
“These are two groups that we are reaching out to and
offering free admission to our regular season home games,”
said TTU Director of Athletics Mark Wilson.
“Compared with what the families of the 278th are giving up
for all of us, it’s a small thing to do, but we wanted all of
those families to know hey can come any time to watch Tech
basketball. It’s something that they can do as a family, and
we want all of them to feel welcome.
“For the Upward and Vision players, these young boys and
girls enjoy watching our men and women student-athletes competing,
and they are a very enthusiastic part of crowd.” Wilson said.
“They are invited to any game just by wearing their gam
shirts, and for these games Thursday, it’s a chance to bring
their family members for just one dollar each.”
Families of Soldiers deployed with the 278th may get free tickets
to any Golden Eagle home basketball game during the 2009-2010
regular season. To receive free tickets, a family member can show a
valid military ID at the Athletics Ticket Office in Eblen
Center.
Upward and Vision players receive free admission just by wearing
their game shirts to the games.
