JONESBORO, Ark. - The second day of the Lady Red Wolf Classic
was cancelled due to rain Tuesday giving the Tennessee Tech women's
golf team an 11th place finish. The Golden Eagles put together
rounds of 335 and 319 for a combined score of 654 after two rounds
of play at Jonesboro Country Club on Monday. Monday's results will
become final.
Host Arkansas State won the tournament, finishing with an
eight-stroke advantage over second place Murray State after
shooting 612 through the first two rounds.
Senior Diana Carson put together rounds of 81 and 79 on the
5,983-yard par 71 course to lead the Golden Eagles with a combined
score of 160. Carson finished in a tie for 27th place.
Carson's teammate Megan Bradford finished just one stroke behind
after rebounding from an opening round 87 to shoot three-over 74 on
the second 18 holes. Bradford tied for 32nd in the tournament.
Other Golden Eagles who competed in the tournament include Carley
Rhyne (85, 82) tied for 49th, Amanda Randolph (84, 84) tied for
51st and Lindsay Spradlen (85, 85) tied for 56th.
