2019 (Sophomore): Ran in four meets… set a personal-best in the 5K with a time of 22:10.7, earning a season-best 46th-place finish at the Upstate Invitational (Oct. 5)… ran a personal-best 6K with a time of 28:33.10 at the Commodore Classic (Sept. 14).
2018 (Redshirt Freshman): Competed in the season-opening Golden Eagle Invitational and produced a five-kilometer time of 23:59.7 for eighth place overall.
2017 (Freshman): Redshirted due to injury... named to Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll and TTU Athletic Director's Honor Roll for the Fall and Spring semesters... won the Wendy's Scholar-Athlete award for a 4.0 GPA in pre-medicine.
High School: McCowan was a four-time letterwinner in track and field and three-time letterwinner in cross country at Cookeville High School... three-time qualifier for the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association Track & Field State Championships... competed in the 800m, 1600m and 4x800m relay at the TSSAA State Championships as a senior... holds track and field school records at Cookeville for the 800m (outdoor and indoor), 1600m, 4x800m relay and distance medley relay... received CHS's Track MVP award three years in a row... was part of three CHS cross country teams that won district and regional championships... named to the Cross Country Mid-State Team in 2015 and 2016... won the school's Cross Country MVP award for the 2017 season... posted high school personal bests of 2-minutes, 25-seconds in the 800m, 5:30 in the 1600m and 20:21 for a five-kilometer cross country race... graduated with honors and distinction.
