Howard claims adidas® OVC Player of the Week accolades on Nov. 24
After a stellar three-game performance, senior Samaria Howard has been named the adidas® OVC Player of the Week on Nov. 24.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn.—After a stellar three-game performance, senior Samaria Howard has been named the adidas® OVC Player of the Week on November 24.
Howard led the Golden Eagles to a 2-1 record over the past week, totaling 67 points while grabbing 23 rebounds. She hit 25-of-56 from the field and connected on 17-of-19 at the line. Howard posted a game- and career-high 31 points in Tech's win over Lipscomb, and led the team in points in both games against Mercer and Georgia State.
So far on the season, Howard is averaging 41.2-percent from the field and 88.5-percent from the line. She leads the Golden Eagles in points (79) and is second in rebounds with 25.

Howard led Tennessee Tech to a 2-1 record last week as she averaged 22.3 points and shot 44.6 percent from the field. She led all players with a career-high 31 points in the win over Lipscomb. For the week she recorded, 23 rebounds, a 89.5 free throw percentage, three assists and four steals.

O'Bannon recorded 21 points and nine rebounds in Eastern Kentucky's win over Western Carolina last week. She shot 64.2 percent from the floor and finished with two blocks. She also had four assists and one steal in the victory. O'Bannon has scored in double figures in each of her first two career games at EKU.

Miranda Crockett, G • Fr., 5-8 • Martinsville, Va. • Morehead State
Crockett recorded 14 points and team-leading eight rebounds against No. 13 Kentucky. She followed that up with a triple-double in the win over Georgia State. She had 15 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. For the Week she averaged 14.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 2.0 steals while shooting 61.9 percent from the floor.
