Gagne, Litherland lead Golden Eagles against Columbus State
Austin Litherland shot a team-high 576 in the air rifle competition but the Tennessee Tech rifle team fell to Columbus State by a combined score of 4544-4485.
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Austin Litherland shot a team-high 576 in the air rifle competition but the Tennessee Tech rifle team fell to Columbus State by a combined score of 4544-4485. Columbus State outshot Tech 2316-2268 in the air rifle competition and 2228-2217 in the smallbore competition.
Curtis Gagne led the Golden Eagles with a 568 in the smallbore, while Litherland shot 562, followed by Chase Cortner’s 552 and Patrick Stidham’s 535.
Behind Litherland in the air rifle competition was Cortner with a 572, Jessica McCauley with a 565 and Krystle Harris with a 555.
The Golden Eagles will shoot again on Nov. 7 at Jacksonville State along with Morehead State, Eastern Kentucky, Austin Peay, Pittsburgh, Ole Miss and Delaware.
