A versatile athlete, Daniel is a staple in the Golden Eagle cross country lineup, finishing a consistent third on the squad throughout his second season on the roster...an all-state runner during his high school career...a muliti-talented athlete, he lettered in five different sports during his high school career...also a knockout in the classroom.
TECH (2014): Daniel enjoyed a solid sophomore season, competing in five meets for the Golden Eagles and finishing third on the team four times...received the team's Most Dedicated Runner Award at the end of the season...acheived a new career-best 8K time of 26:28.38 at the Greater Louisville Classic, trimming 24 seconds from his previous best...that mark ranks as the 21st fastest 8K time in school history...ran a 26:33 the following week, a time that ranks 27th best in Tech history...opened the year running a 5K time of 16:30.56 at the Carolina Invitational.
TECH (2013): Daniel placed in the top four among Tech runners in every meet in his debut season...achieved his personal best time of 26.52.4 at the Charlotte Invitational placing him 47th overall...placed 15th overall at the Evansville Invitational with a time of 27:27.46.
HIGH SCHOOL: Daniel lettered four years each in both cross country and track & field during his time at Union City High School...also lettered twice on the soccer team, twice in baseball and once in basketball...was crowned all-region all four years in cross country...two-time regional champion and twice named all-state.
PERSONAL: The son of James and Amy Williamson...born May 29, 1995 in Union City...full name is Daniel Eric Williamson...majoring in civil engineering.
