2023-24: Samons appeared in 23 of Tech’s 31 contests during the year, averaging 14.1 minutes per game… averaged 3.0 points and 0.9 rebounds per game… shot 40.0 percent from the field, 38.8 percent from distance, and finished a perfect 3-for-3 at the charity stripe… made his collegiate debut with two boards in 10 minutes off the bench at #9 Tennessee (Nov. 6)… dropped a season-high 20 points on perfect shooting against Alice Lloyd (Dec. 3), finishing 6-for-6 from the floor, 5-for-5 from beyond the arc, and 3-of-3 from the free-throw line… hauled in a season-high four rebounds with two dimes at UT Martin (Feb. 29)… scored 10 points with two dimes against Southern Indiana (Feb. 1)… sunk at least one triple in nine contests.

High School: Samons competed at Pikeville High School in Pikeville, Ky. for head coach Elisha Justice… helped lead Pikeville to four straight district championships, two Kentucky All “A” Region titles, an All “A” State crown, and a Region 15 championship… earned Louisville Courier-Journal All-State Second Team honors and Appalachian Newspapers Inc.
