2021-22 (Freshman*): Stayton competed in six of the team’s 32 games, averaging 2.5 minutes per game… totaled three points, three rebounds, and a steal during the season… snagged a rebound against Oakwood (Nov. 14)… went 1-for-2 from beyond the arc for three points and collected a rebound and a steal against Montreat College (Dec. 16)… hauled in a rebound against Tennessee State (Feb. 24).

2020-21 (Freshman): Stayton played in 12 of Tech’s 27 games on the year, averaging 2.7 minutes per game… scored three points and collected four rebounds on the year… made his collegiate debut with a steal in three minutes of action at Xavier (Dec. 2)… posted his first career bucket, a 3-pointer, at Northern Kentucky (Dec. 3)… collected a pair of rebounds at Western Carolina (Dec. 6)… dished out his first career assist at Jacksonville State (Dec. 16).

High School: Stayton was a two-sport athlete at Blackman High School in Murfreesboro, playing basketball for head coach Barry Wortman and tennis for head coach Kevin Green… as a senior, averaged 7.0 points, 6.7 rebounds and 0.7 blocks per game… earned Region 4-AAA All-Tournament Team honors and Daily News Journal All-Area Third Team honors as a senior… in 2020, helped lead BHS to the District 7-AAA regular season and tournament titles, as well as the Region 4-AAA championship… averaged 9.6 points, 6.3 rebounds and 0.9 blocks per game as a junior.

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Following a vote of Ohio Valley Conference head men's basketball coaches and communication directors, the League officially released its Preseason All-OVC Team and preseason poll Tuesday morning as part of its annual Media Day session. This year, OVC Media Day made its return to Evansville, Ind. for the first time since the 2018-19 season due to the global pandemic.
