Fall 2021: Played in all 11 games ... had eight total tackles -- five solo and three assisted ... forced and recovered a fumble ... forced a fumble at Tennessee State (10/16/21) ... recovered a fumble at Austin Peay (11/20/21) ... recorded two tackles at NC Central (10/9/21) and Virginia-Lynchburg (10/23/21).

HIGH SCHOOL: A two-sport athlete at Shelbyville Central High, Simmons played both football and baseball ... with the Golden Eagle football team, he saw his junior campaign end early with a torn ACL and meniscus, but he rebounded in a big way as a senior, recording 52 tackles, three interceptions, two forced and recovered fumbles, two passing touchdowns, three rushing touchdowns, 208 rushing yards, 46 catches for 545 yards and six receiving scores, returned a fumble for a touchdown, returned a punt for a touchdown and had two sacks ... helped lead the Golden Eagles to a region title that season and the third round of the TSSAA playoffs ... earned all-region as a sophomore and senior ... earned all-state as a senior.

Golden Eagles close out Tucker slate with visit from Gardner-Webb

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Saturday marks the final home game of the 2023 football season and it’s going to be a bittersweet day for the Tennessee Tech football team. With the home finale comes Senior Day and the Golden Eagles will recognize those departing players before the start of the contest against Gardner-Webb. Kickoff Saturday is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Roger Ealey and Frank Harrell will have the call on 98.5 KISS FM, while Dylan Vazzano and Metz will narrate the action on ESPN+ (subscription required).

Tech Football opens campaign Thursday at No. 6 Furman

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Camp and workouts are over. As the Tennessee Tech football team loads up the busses for Thursday’s season opener at No. 6-ranked Furman, the Golden Eagles begin a new campaign ready to improve and work toward a Big South-OVC championship. Everything starts Thursday night at 6 p.m. Central. The game will be streamed on ESPN+ with Pete Yanity and Jay Sonnhalter handling the broadcast, while the game can be heard locally on 98.5 KISS FM with Roger Ealey and Dylan Vazzano on the call.
