HIGH SCHOOL: Named All-CIF as a senior after earning 1st Team All-Del Rey League honors as a junior and sophomore… Helped lead the team to the CIF finals his senior season… Posted seven interceptions on defense and amassed 700 total yards on offense as a senior, while he pulled in 32 passes for 800 yards as a junior and also picked off four passes… In his sophomore season, he finished with 754 rushing yards , while he was voted the team’s Most Valuable Player as a freshman… Was also a member of the baseball team and his seven home runs as a senior…..

Golden Eagles fall to FBS New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The early going was positive for the Tennessee Tech football team on Saturday night. The Golden Eagles forced turnovers, moved the ball and ended the first stanza all square at 7-7.  That changed in the second quarter as New Mexico outscored Tech 21-3 before the half, then scored 28 unanswered points in the second half as the Lobos out of the Football Bowl Subdivision Mountain West Conference defeated the Golden Eagles 56-10.  Tech (0-2) returns to action next week for its home opener as the Golden Eagles host North Alabama on Saturday.

Tech Football opens campaign Thursday at No. 6 Furman

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Camp and workouts are over. As the Tennessee Tech football team loads up the busses for Thursday’s season opener at No. 6-ranked Furman, the Golden Eagles begin a new campaign ready to improve and work toward a Big South-OVC championship. Everything starts Thursday night at 6 p.m. Central. The game will be streamed on ESPN+ with Pete Yanity and Jay Sonnhalter handling the broadcast, while the game can be heard locally on 98.5 KISS FM with Roger Ealey and Dylan Vazzano on the call.
