HIGH SCHOOL: A transfer following two seasons
at Tulane University, Andrew enrolled at Tech in January and
participated in spring drills...
proving to be a pleasant addition...listed as the starter at right
guard...among the three-man rotation at the guard spot...excellent
run blocker and improving his pass protection...solid player...was
a redshirt in 2007 with the Green Wave and a member of the squad at
Tulane in 2008...will be a sophomore at Tech in 2009...coming out
of Duluth (Ga.) High School, he was rated the No. 26 Offensive
Guard in the country by ESPN.com...named first-team all-Gwinnett
County as a senior...also a Class 7-5A first-team all-region
pick...three-year starter at offensive guard, he also played
defensive line and was a letter winner in track &
field...grading out better than 92 percent in his junior and senior
seasons, he posted more than 150 pancake blocks in his final two
high school campaigns.
