Bio
2023 (Junior): Calitri appeared in 16 games, making 11 starts overall… tied for the team lead with four victories, finishing 4-5 with a 6.59 ERA and 45 strikeouts in 54.2 innings… allowed 40 earned runs, 69 hits, and 21 walks… struck out a season-high six batters in 5.0 innings of scoreless work in the season-opener against Bowling Green (Feb. 17), scattering four hits to earn his first win of the year… completed a season-high 6.1 innings on the bump against North Alabama (Mar. 10), fanning five in the tilt… earned his second victory with 5.0 innings and two earned runs allowed against ETSU (Mar. 17)… picked up his third dub of the year with 6.0 innings of shut-out ball against UT Martin (Apr. 23), just two days after tossing 2.0 innings in relief against the Skyhawks (Apr. 21)… defeated UT Martin (May 24) in the OVC Tournament for his fourth victory of the year, completing 6.0 innings with five punchies and just one earned run allowed… covered at least 5.0 innings in six contests… allowed two runs or less in nine appearances, including four starts… punched out four or more batters six times.
2022 (Sophomore): Calitri turned in team-high 15 starts in his first season at Tech, accounting for each of his appearances on the mound… also led the team with a 6-5 record, 5.04 ERA (among qualified pitchers), 61 strikeouts, and 85.2 innings of work… allowed 48 earned runs, 87 hits, and 22 walks while holding opposing batters to a .269 average… made his Tech debut with 4.1 innings in a start against Oral Roberts (Feb. 18)… picked up his first win in the purple and gold with 7.0 innings and five punch outs against Eastern Michigan (Feb. 25)… turned in 8.0 innings with just a single hit and one run allowed at Southeastern Louisiana (Mar. 11), holding the Lions without a hit for 7.1 innings… delivered one of the better pitching performances in program history at ETSU (Mar. 18), completing all 10.0 innings for Tech in a 4-2 win while registering 11 strikeouts and zero walks… the outing marked the third-longest in program history and most innings pitched by a Tech arm since Matt Smith totaled 11.0 against SEMO on May 17, 2007… fanned six batters in his next start against Bradley (Mar. 25), covering 5.1 innings… produced six more K’s in 7.0 innings while allowing just two runs to earn his sixth victory in Tech’s first game of the OVC Tournament against Murray State (May 25)… covered at least 5.0 innings in 10 contests and 7.0 or more in four straight starts from Feb. 25 to Mar. 18… allowed two runs or fewer in eight starts… punched out four or more batters seven times.
2021 (Freshman – Walters State CC*): Calitri made 16 appearances with seven starts as a pitcher… turned in a 6-1 record with a 2.93 ERA… struck out 41 batters in 43.0 innings of work… allowed just 14 earned runs, eight walks, and 44 hits… made his collegiate debut with two punch-outs in a perfect innings on the hill in the second game of a doubleheader with USC Salkehatchie (Jan. 30)… collected his first career win in his first start in the first tilt of a double dip at Cleveland CC (Mar. 23), fanning six in the game… completed a season-high 7.0 innings with four strikeouts and just one run allowed in a win in the first game at Cleveland CC (Apr. 20)… fanned a season-best seven batters in 6.0 innings of one-run ball to earn the victory against Motlow State CC (May 12)… completed multiple innings of relief in four games… struck out three or more batters seven times… held opponents scoreless seven times, and without an earned run nine times… made five straight appearances out of the bullpen without an earned run allowed to start his career.

High School: Calitri was a three-year letterwinner as a pitcher for head coach Jeff Munier at Collierville High School in Collierville, Tenn.… named to the All-Region Team in both 2018 and 2019… helped lead CHS to both District and Region titles as a junior and senior… as a senior, tossed 59 innings while racking up a 7-1 record, 56 strikeouts, and a 1.90 ERA… totaled 60.2 innings of work as a sophomore, accumulating an 8-2 mark, 77 punch-outs, and a 1.27 ERA… turned in a 3-1 record, 17 Ks, and an 0.31 ERA in 22.1 innings on the hill as a sophomore.
