Tech baseball hits the road for fifth meeting with Belmont in 2021 on Tuesday
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech baseball team will square off with in-state and Ohio Valley Conference rival Belmont one more time Tuesday evening, making a visit to Nashville and E.S. Rose Park for a 5:00 p.m. tilt with no league implications.

Tennessee Tech Baseball Midweek Preview (Apr. 27)
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech baseball team will square off with in-state and Ohio Valley Conference rival Belmont one more time Tuesday evening, making a visit to Nashville and E.S. Rose Park for a 5:00 p.m. tilt with no league implications.
The contest marks the fifth between the two programs this season and fourth consecutive after the two made battle in Cookeville over the weekend in a three-game OVC series. The Golden Eagles won the first contest 9-7 on Saturday, outlasting a large Belmont rally and two-hour-and-40-minute rain delay.
The Bruins responded by edging the purple and gold in a pair of contests on Sunday, holding off a pair of Tech comeback efforts for victories of 9-7 and 9-8.
The two squads competed in midweek action in Cookeville back on March 23. The Golden Eagle offense carried the home team to an 11-4 victory, securing 10 total hits on the day.
A trio of big boppers, sluggers Jason Hinchman, Golston Gillespie and John Dyer each accounted for three RBI in the contest and each tallied at least one round-tripper. Gillespie circled the wagons twice, contributing a pair of long balls on the night, including going back-to-back with Hinchman in the seventh frame.
