Golden Eagles open Ohio Valley Conference play with trip to Morehead State, doubleheader Friday
The Tennessee Tech baseball team hits the road for its first true road test of the 2016 campaign, opening up Ohio Valley Conference play with a three-game set at Morehead State starting Friday afternoon. Due to unfavorable weather expected in the area, the Golden Eagles and Eagles will play a doubleheader Friday, starting at 1:30 p.m. CT.

Tennessee Tech Baseball Weekend Preview (3/10)
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Tech baseball team hits the road for its first true road test of the 2016 campaign, opening up Ohio Valley Conference play with a three-game set at Morehead State starting Friday afternoon. Due to unfavorable weather expected in the area, the Golden Eagles and Eagles will play a doubleheader Friday, starting at 1:30 p.m. CT.
Game two will follow approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the series opener. The series finale is set for a 1 p.m. CT first pitch Saturday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles enter the contest after winning a slugfest against in-state rival Lipscomb Tuesday afternoon, 14-11. Tech scored six runs in the bottom of the eighth to retake the lead, holding on in the end for the three-run win. The defending OVC Tournament champions, Morehead State is coming off a 9-8 victory in 10 innings over Longwood on Wednesday afternoon.
