Saturday's baseball game to feature Alumni Day, Senior Salute
In addition to possibly playing for the OVC title, Saturday's baseball game will hold several other special features for the Golden Eagles. It's Senior Day as four players see their final action at home. It's also Alumni Day, and Tech will salute former coach David Mays for his induction into the OVC Hall of Fame.
COOKEVILLE, Tenn. -- There will plenty of activity on the field
Saturday when Tennessee Tech hosts Murray State in the regular
season finale for both baseball teams.
In addition to the top two teams in the league possibly battling
for the Ohio Valley Conference regular season championship, Tech
will also host Senior Day and Alumni Day. All of those activities
are schedule to take place prior to the 1 p.m. game.
For Senior Day, Tech will salute the careers of four members of
the squad who are playing their final home game in Bush Stadium.
It's the end of the line for seniors Brandon Crossman, Lee Henry,
Adam Liberatore and Tate McMillan, and each will be recognized for
his accomplishments.
For Alumni Day, former Golden Eagle players will be introduced.
The event will also include a special recognitition of former head
coach David Mays, who will be inducted into the OVC Hall of Fame in
two weeks. All former alumni returning for the event are invited to
a pregae cookout in the Averitt Express Baseball Complex beginning
at 11 a.m.

Aadmission to this weekend's games is free. Tech hosts Murray
State Friday in a 1 p.m. doubleheader before closing out the
regular season with Saturday's game.
