2012-13: Amber played in two tournaments in the fall season for a total of five rounds… posted an 80.80 scoring average, shaving off almost half a stroke from a year ago… her low round, 79, came during the first and last rounds of the Blue Raider Invitational hosted at Old Fort. In the spring, Amber competed in six events and 13 rounds. Her 76+80=156 at Tech's Bobby Nichols Intercollegaite ranked her 7th out of 72 golfers and was her best event of the year. She was named the team's Best Putter by coach Polk Brown.

2011-12: Played in all five tournaments of the 2011 fall season, totaling 10 rounds of golf...shot a season-low score of 73 in the first round of the Drake Creek Invitational in the spring, Amber posted her best finish of the year, placing 5th out of 45 golfers at the Belmont Invitational with a 72-80=152...she posted a final scoring average of 81.1, improving by more than a stroke from her freshman year.

2010-11: After her first year at Tech, Amber shows great promise with an average of 82.2...qualified for seven tournaments... played in 16 total rounds..recorded her low round of 73 in the Great Smokies Collegiate tournament during the second round.

HIGH SCHOOL: Amber was a four-year starter on the girls golf team at Anderson County High Honors student, she was the first player from her school to earn first-team all-state honors, capturing that distinction as a sophomore...she repeated her first-team all-state honors as a junior and won the same honor for the third consecutive her sophomore season, she was the team's Player of the Year, placing second in the district, third in the region and sixth in the state tournament.

PERSONAL: The daughter of Darrell and Sharon Shepherd...birthdate is July 7, 1992...full name is Amber Ruth Shepherd...majoring in education.
