In 2009 (Sophomore): A first-team all OVC
selection, Lacie led the Golden Eagles in numerous offensive
categories including batting average (.320), runs (31) and hits
(54)...named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District team...struck out
just 11 times in 169 at-bats, making her the toughest batter to
strike out in the OVC...named team MVP, best defensive infielder
and best offensive player...started every game last season,
becoming the only player on the team to have started every game for
the last two years...hit two home runs against Southeast Missouri
(3/28) to become the seventh player in the program’s history
to hit two home runs in a game...finished the season with 12
multi-hit games...had two seven-game hitting streaks throughout the
course of the season...finished 3-for-3 with two runs scored and
two RBIs against Tennessee Wesleyan (3/19)...earned a spot on the
OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll and the Athletic
Director’s Honor Roll.
In 2008 (Freshman): Lacie was the only freshman to start every game for the Golden Eagles...in her role at second base, she was third on the team with 160 putouts and had the fewest errors of any of the full-time infielders with six...had 189 at-bats, ranking second on the team...led the team with four stolen bases...named to the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll and Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.
High School: Lacie was a three-sport athlete while attending Dalton High School...was a four-year member of the varsity softball team at pitcher and shortstop for coach Bob Brotherton...was named a Scholar Athlete all four years while also earning the title of Georgia Merit Scholar and Associated Press Scholar...was a Wendy’s High School Heisman nominee for softball and helped her softball team make an appearance in the Georgia High School Sweet Sixteen.
