At Tech in 2008-09: Preston participated in two
tournaments for the Golden Eagles…had two sub-par rounds at
the Murray State Invitational when he shot 70 in the first and
third rounds of the tournament, where he finished four-over par and
in a tie for 21st out of 82 participants.
In 2007-08: Preston earned a spot in Tech's lineup for two tournaments and played six competitive rounds...tied for 10th place after carding a 74-73-73--220 at the Skyhawk Fall Classic in October...played in the Murray State Sprig Invitational in April and shot 78-83-78--239 to finish tied for 56th place...overall he averaged 76.5 strokes.
In 2006-07: Member of the team but did not qualify for tournament play.
In 2005-06: Appeared in 17 rounds of tournament play, finishing the year with a 76.5 stroke average...tied for 10th in the Samford Intercollegiate (Feb. 27-28) where he recorded a 74-73-77—224, grabbing the team’s second place finish...continued to build strong work ethic and confidence during his freshman campaign.
AS A PREP: Lettered for three years at Dobyns-Bennett High School under coach Cary Daniels...named Big 7 Conference Player of the Year and was a two-time team MVP.
PERSONAL: The son of Eddie and Teli Marshall…birthdate is February 27, 1987…full name is Preston Wheeler Marshall…enrolled in accounting.
