AT TECH -- In 2008-09: Jared qualified for eight of Tech's ten tournaments...shot four sub par rounds...season stroke average of 75.6 with one Top Ten finish...best finish of a tie for sixth at the Pizza Hut/AT&T Invitational with a score of 77-76--153 through two rounds of competition...low round of 71 at both the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate (71-72-73--219) and Larry Nelson Collegiate Invitational (71-77-79-227).
In 2007-08: Jared missed out on qualifying
during the 2007-08 campaign.
In 2006-07: Jared qualified to play in three of Tech's tournaments in his second season and fired six rounds...low score was a 74 in the final round of the MSU Wasioto Winds Fall Invitational...best finish was 65th place at the same event...18-hole stroke average of 80.3.
In 2005-06: Earned the Most Improved Player award shooting a 76.4 for the year while appearing in 17 rounds of tournament play…best tournament appearance was his 27th place finish in the Comfort Inn Belmont Invitational where he carded a 77-72-74—223, tying with teammate Polk Brown.
AS A PREP: Lettered in both basketball and golf at Cookeville High School...named MVP in golf of both the district and region...also named second-team all-state on the links...high school average was 74.2...helped contribute to his team’s region championship.
